Lists

√ Choose a book to get as a gift from the school

√ Decide on the Year 12 song

√ Put in VTAC choices

I'm forever writing lists but man, it feels good to know that I'm achieving much. =) When it all seems too overwhelming, write a list and start doing one thing at a time. Smaller goals seem more achievable to the human mind than big goals that may never get you anywhere cos you're in a frenzy. Just a thought. =)

My Tuesday

I was looking forward to this day for ages. Mainly because we haven't had a crowd of people at home in a while and I love organising stuff. When I told Winston that I was organising a lifegroup social at my place, he gave me a list of 25 people to contact plus I had a few friends who I wanted to invite as well. The group of just over 30 was an overwhelming number but then about at the end 24 came. Phew. So before the crowd came, Fiona, Queenie, Dan, Yappy, Sam and I enjoyed the pasta that Yappy cooked. It was delicious so it's a good thing there is still leftovers cos I get to eat it for dinner tonight. =) He cooked the whole kilogram of pasta. I've never seen so much pasta in my life!
While I was washing, I heard Queenie playing the piano over the sounds of the Nintendo that the guys were playing. She is so pro!!! Then we watched a couple of dvds while I was attempting to make chocolate slice. I burnt half a block of chocolate in the microwave because I accidentally heated it up for too long. Everyone told me it was burnt after I finished talking to Dad on the phone. The whole house stank. I was following instructions from Yappy who apparently does not bake. I started to panick when I didn't know how to measure out 65 grams of flour because I didn't know that we had kitchen scales. Mum rang just in time and then she told me we did have them. Finally they were found and I was saved. We played table-tennis. Yuin and I were nearly killed by a table-tennis ball several times on purpose I must add.

The table-tennis competition didn't happen when it was supposed to. People were warming up for an hour before they stopped and were looking for food. It was kinda awkward cos I had bunched a whole group of my friends from different places into one room. Eventually, it was better. Suddenly, Dan unpacked what looked like a too big a bag to be taking to someone's house for just a day. There were two boxes of home made biscuits, a container full of vegetables and noodles. It clicked that Dan had spent the whole morning baking, preparing and cleaning as he came later than planned. Then the Italian cook (aka Yappy) started cooking Asian and became the Italiasia cook. So not only did we have left over pasta but we also had left over pasta and noodles. Yuin made logan and black jelly soup with Dan and my help.. =P It was so refreshing!

While I was in the kitchen, Dan told me there was some guy at the door asking for me. I was so confused because the others weren't meant to be coming until much later. I went to the door and I saw this guy looking weirdly at me and then he looked towards the garage direction. It was then I knew that it was one of Sam's friends from school because he had the camberwell shorts on. His friend thought that the chick with Sam was his sister and then he was confused and thought that Sam had two sisters. Sam invited him in after interrupting his jog around the neighbourhood and the group became even more random.

We played Taboo and Charades. Then we watched the must see table-tennis match between Queenie and Jon K. It was an awesome match. Queenie ended up winning but Jon had put in a good fight.

Overall, the night was awesome. There were a few interesting happenings. I've never done so much washing up in my life. I learnt heaps..especially about cooking utensils..hehe. I was exhausted after it all.. especially after Queenie, Fiona, Sam and I finished the washing and cleaning up. I'm sad it's over but there is always a next time.

S2,
Jo
